Terms of Use
Joining the club or using this site means you agree to what follows. It is short on purpose — read it once and you know where you stand.
Who may join
Membership is open to women 18 or over who are 5 FT tall or Under, anywhere in the United States. Joining means the details you give — your name, height, and location — are truthful. The club may decline or end a membership that does not meet these terms.Membership is intended to provide a comfortable, non-dating environment where Members can connect with other women who share the experience of being 5 FT & under.
Membership is free
There are no dues and no fees. Membership gives you a pin on the map and a place in the community; it does not create any ownership, employment, or other legal relationship with the club, and benefits may change as the club grows. Merchandise is sold through this site and is open to anyone — you do not need to be a Member to purchase. Purchasing Merch does not make you a Member, and membership does not include any discount or exclusive access to merch unless stated otherwise.
The Member map
Membership is reviewed before it begins: a club administrator checks each application, and your pin appears once it is approved. When you join, you consent to one public pin showing your display name (or first name) and your town and state — nothing more, as the privacy page spells out. Joining does not share your real name or your photo with anyone. Those are shown to other signed-in Members only if you switch them on yourself in your profile, and they start switched off. You can change any of this, or remove your pin, any time from your profile.
The Founding 100
The club's first hundred Members each get a gold star shown beside their pin and in the Member directory. Founding 100 Members are also offered a keepsake by mail and entry into an annual giveaway; both are gifts from the club rather than anything you have paid for, both depend on your choosing to give the club the details needed to send them, and neither is a term of membership. If you leave the club, the honor goes with the membership. The annual giveaway is free to enter, requires no purchase, and the winner is chosen by random drawing among eligible Founding 100 Members once a year. This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook.
Conduct
Be the Member you would want to meet. Harassment, impersonation, misrepresenting your identity, scraping member information, or using the club for commercial solicitation ends a membership, at the club’s sole discretion, with or without warning. The Facebook group has its own rules and Facebook’s own terms on top of these.
Meet-ups are at your own risk
The club exists so Members can eventually meet, and Members organize get-togethers themselves. The club and its organizers do not personally vet Members, venues, or activities, and are not responsible for what happens at or around any gathering. Use the same judgment you would meeting anyone from the internet: public places first, tell someone where you are going, trust your instincts.
Your details and photo
What you give the club stays yours. You grant the club permission to store it and use it to run the club — the map pin you consented to, club email, and verification — and nothing else without asking you first.
The site comes as-is
The club provides this site free and works to keep it accurate and available, but promises neither. To the fullest extent the law allows, the club, its Founder, and its volunteers are not liable for damages arising from the site, the club, or its gatherings, except where caused by our own gross negligence or willful misconduct. Membership is free, and liability is limited accordingly.
Leaving, and changes to these terms
You can leave any time from your profile, and your record is deleted. These terms may change as the club grows; the current version lives at this page, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
